Nalgene bottles were not new to me. But I wanted a 1.5 l version for my bike because I need quite a lot of liquid on my travels. In addition to a "normal" 1.5 l bottle, I have another one that can be refilled without hesitation. The wide neck helps here, and I will use a drinking blanket that I already have from another bottle to drink.

The older sister of Nalgene bottles. Perfect to carry 1.5l on your long excursions. Insurmountable resistance, although the plastic that joins the cap with the bottle will end up breaking over the years (they sell spare parts or it can be replaced by a piece of cord). Definitely a bargain product. Needless to say, it is a bottle of Nalgene, but I think that 1.5L is hard to get in Japan. It is safe and secure, and the wide mouth is easy to use.

These fit in the bottle pocket of my backpack and I am really happy to recycle the soft 1.5 lt water bottles as soon as I buy the water. Instead of tossing the useless soft bottles on the beach / street trash cans. While I'm not traveling I use these in the fridge for cold water.
